LOS ANGELES—American Idol season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez once again took the same stage which catapulted her international career.
Sanchez, along with R&B superstar Ne-yo, performed her new single titled “Tonight” at the American Idol elimination show on Thursday.
“I was a bit nervous but I just let go because I was, like, ‘Girl, you’re not gonna be judged tonight,” said Sanchez. “It’s all good; you’re just premiering your single.’ And I had Ne-yo there.”
Sanchez said she was hand-on during the production of the single and her first album due to be released on April 30.
“ ( I had) tons of input,” said Sanchez, There are a lot of challenges that sometimes scare me and intimidate me, just like tonight performing back on Idol stage and people are expecting things. And I just tell myself, ‘You’re 17, you’re young, this is your dream, you’re living it so just take all that negativity away and just be positive.'”
Ending speculations on about her upcoming appearance on Glee, Sanchez confirmed what her role would be, and how it will really change her signature youthful image on American Idol. In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Sanchez said her more grown-up image will be on full display on Glee where she said she will play a student from another school known as a diva powerhouse singer.
