LAS VEGAS, NEV. – Two weeks after the Pac-Brad rematch, the MGM Grand plays host to undefeated American boxer Floyd Mayweather JR who is going up against Marcos Maidana this Saturday.

And every time Mayweather JR fights, Manny Pacquiao’s name always comes up.

“A great fighter who had a terrific win against Bradley i was very happy for Manny, I respect Manny as a terrific fighter terrific human being a person and the Filipino people are very proud to have a Manny Pacquiao. They know they love boxing, the Filipino,” said Richard Schaeffer CEO of Golden Boy Promotions.

Schaeffer says, he too awaits a future when the much talked about Pac-Mayweather bout would finally become a reality.

But Floyd Mayweather, JR. has clearly stated that he will not work with Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, who is Pacquiao’s long time promoter.

” We all know you heard it from mayweather that he has no interest in working with bob arum from top rank so if that fight is gonna happen its gonna happen without involvement of top rank then definitely i can see that fight happening,” said Schaefffer.

And when asked if he is already in negotiations for a possible Pacquiao versus Canelo Alvarez match in the future, Schaeffer says it was only Oscar de la Hoya who is talking to Top Rank CEO Bob Arum.

“I don’t know you have to Oscar about that, that was, I really don’t know, I really don’t want to talk about that,” said Schaefffer.

After many plans for the Pacquiao versus Mayweather dream match have yet to materialize.

As both camps continue to be odds with each other boxing fans continue to wait for such a dream match to happen.

I don’t want to see another Pacquiao-Marquez. We want to see Mayweather,” said fight fan Willie Staana.

While the fighting congressman enjoys his time being a new dad in Gensan, it is still uncertain who his next opponent is.

Bob Arum you should step a side for Mayweather vs Pacquiao ? Look the fans want the fight to happen, so Bob Arum if you want your boxer Manny Pacquiao fight Mayweather step a side and them two can box ? You made alot money all ready with Manny fights so let Mayweather handle the fight. I think Manny can make a lot money on the fight without Bob Arum around them two boxers?

MPac will be safe working with Bob Arum, at least he will get paid. 20 yrs ago, Bob Arum sued Mayweather Sr, and won, for non payment of their agreed boxing contract. From there on Arum said to himself ” bakit kita payayamanin, linoko mo na ako nang 2 beses. MPac work with Oscar DelaHoya?, baka hindi siya bayaran nang tama. Bob Arum can put up $100M and Mayweather ask for 60% Manny for 40%. Ang sabi ni BArum pera ko ito, bata ko si MPac bakit hindi 50:50 yaan ang problema…
