UPDATE: Judge denies INC minister’s restraining order against expelled family

FULLERTON, Calif. – (UPDATED) The ongoing drama between Iglesia ni Cristo and a growing number of disgruntled followers spilled into an American courtroom Friday when an Orange County judge denied a restraining order filed by a church minister against expelled members.

According to lawyer Roman Mosqueda, who represents the DeOcampo family, his clients had joined a protest against the INC’s alleged corruption. The DeOcampos were then expelled from the church earlier this year.

Mosqueda says that the family was still allowed to worship at the Anaheim church but were barred from member activities.

Shortly after, the minister had asked for a court issued restraining order against the DeOcampos that would prevent them from entering the church.

The church’s minister had argued that he felt afraid of what the expelled members would do if they continued to worship at the church.

By late Friday afternoon the judge had concluded that the actions of the DeOcampo family did not fit the definition of civil harassment, denying the restraining order.

According to Mosqueda, this may be the first time a case like this has reached the U.S.

Balitang America attempted to contact the lawyer for the INC minister for comment but was unsuccessful.

INC is divided, this is the right time to start a new church. The bible says “Money is the root of all evil”. De Ocampo family should start a new church, napaka-gandang RACKET ito, tax free pa..Look El Shaday from PH,they have so many properties assets in the US, itakbo mona ang pera at collection from PH and live a wealthy life as a preacher in the U.S.Pera, pera lang yaan.Kaya si MPacquiao, naging Pastor, dahil sa pera, tax free ang Pastor sa PH.After El Shadai, sumonod si Brother Eddie, naparaming properties/assets dito sa US. Money is the root of all evil.Kayong mga Pastor sa Amerika magisip kayong mabuti.

inc believe they are the true church as of the members, if the ex members started a new church that would defeat their faith.
