Philippine officials will probe allegations that the eldest daughter of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos was the alleged beneficiary of a secret off-shore trust.

According to a report published by the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism, Ilocos Governor Imee Marcos reportedly failed to declare that she is one of the beneficiaries of a secret offshore account, formed in the British Virgin Islands in 2002.
Philippine law requires government officials to disclose their assets no matter where they’re being held. Imee Marcos’ disclosure statements do not list the three off-shore entities.

The Presidential Commission on Good Government has recovered $4 billion dollars in assets that the Marcos’ illegally acquired, including money from Swiss bank accounts and U.S. properties.

How loser can the Aquinos get!? The last time this alleged Marcos’ ‘ill-gotten’ wealth case was heavily investigated was during Cory Aquino’s presidency. Now, her son PNoy being in power, the case is re-opened again in after almost 30 years. Still after all these years, they can’t find shit against the Marcos’. If only the Aquinos are as passionate in going after the Marcos’ alleged ‘ill-gotten’ wealth, as they are in finding out the mastermind of the assassination of their patriarch in which the Aquinos seem to be disinterested in finding out.
