Hurricane Florence brings heavy rains, winds to coastal Carolinas
Hurricane Florence will potentially devastate the Carolinas tonight.
Local businesses like Athena’s Bar and Grill, a Filipino American restaurant in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, are preparing for the storm.
Florence had maximum sustained winds of 130 miles per hour.
The National Hurricane Center forecasts showed the storm lingering near the coast of the Carolinas. They say heavy rains could bring intense flooding from South Carolina to Virginia with parts of North Carolina, possibly getting up to 40 inches of rain.
