House managers wrap up final day of opening statements in Trump’s Senate impeachment trial

New evidence has cropped up, directly linking Trump to Rudy Giuliani associate Lev Parnas and the scheme to remove then U.S. amassador to Ukraine Maria Yovanovitch.

This could bolster the argument of the Democrats to appeal for new witnesses and evidence to be heard in the trial.

A new audio recording has surfaced allegedly of President Donald Trump in a conversation with his personal lawyer Rudy Guilliani’s associate Lev Parnas, saying “Take her out” in reference to then U.S. amassador to Ukraine Maria Yovanovitch.

The recording reviewed by and first reported by ABC appeared to capture Trump telling associates he wanted Yovanovitch fired while speaking at a gathering that included Parnas and Igor Fruman — another associate of Giuliani.

Both have since been indicted in New York.

The recording appears to contradict statements by Trump and support the narrative that has been offered by Parnas in media interviews since last week.
