One “work-from-home” mom’s automated email response is going viral and getting lots of praise for keeping it real.
For anyone who tries to shoot an email to Khara Jabola-Carolus, the executive director of the Hawaii State Commission on the Status of Women, you might get her auto-reply.
The message explains that she’s working full-time while also tending to an infant and toddler at the same time. She also cites a Washington Post article which finds that the average uninterrupted stretch of work for full time parents lasts about three minutes and 24 seconds.
The 33 year-old mother of two has no easy day job either. On top of working for the state on women’s issues, she out delivering PPEs, raising awareness on Philippine human rights issues, and pushing for legislation to empower women.
