Halalan 2019: Ronald dela Rosa leads in Canada as votes are counted

In Canada, two out of four posts have released their partial unofficial results from Monday’s elections.

In Ottawa, RonaldBato” Dela Rosa leads the senatorial race with 878 votes — followed by Bong Go, Doc Willie Ong, Pia Cayetano, Imee Marcos, Cynthia Villar, Francis Tolentino, Edgardo Sonny Angara, and Glenn Chong.

Grace Poe, Koko Pimentel and Larry Gadon complete the top 12.

In Calgary, Alberta — Dela Rosa also led the top 12, followed by Ong, Go, Cayetano, Marcos and Villar.

Other candidates who made it to the top 12 in Calgary’s tally include Tolentino, Angara, Chong, Gadon, Poe and Manicad.

The Philippine consulate general in Calgary reported a 25.43% voter turnout this year, after they received 1,104 ballots out of 4,341 registered voters.

At the time of this newscast, partial unofficial results have yet to be released from Canada’s two bigger consulate offices in Vancouver and Toronto.
