Florida Fil-Am teen shot, killed in police standoff

TAMPA, Fla. – A Fil-Am teen was shot Monday morning after Tampa, Fla. police said he fought with an officer and attempted to drown a police dog.

Kobvey Igbuhay, 18, died of his injuries at a Tampa hospital later.

Authorities say it all started when police tried to pull over an alleged stolen car with four suspects inside.

When the car finally stopped, the suspects reportedly got out and attempted to escape into a swampy area with chest high water.

A K-9 officer went after the suspects.

Shots were fired after Igbuhay attempted to drown a police dog, and then a struggle ensued with the police.

Three other suspects were taken into police custody

Igbuhay’s father is reportedly Filipino and his mother is from Morocco.

He’s described as a popular point guard of a Filipino basketball association team that recently won a championship in Tampa.

Charges against the surviving suspects are still pending.

Just wondering if Gabriela would be in Florida organizing and coordinating some protest against Police Officers…despite the facts and circumstances that lead into the shooting of a FIL-AM teen.

“alleged stolen car” …you don’t need a court to decide if the car was stolen, just the owners statement.
It’s sad for the parents, they do what they can to raise their children right, but bad influences will make bad mistakes.
