REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – The first person diagnosed in the United States with Ebola is fighting for his life at a Dallas hospital.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say 42-year-old Thomas Eric Duncan is in critical condition.

Before leaving for the Philippines to head a 60 member delegation of the U.S. trade, Investment and Humanitarian Mission to the Philippines, the Philippine Honorary Consul-General in Texas, Ethel Mercado, maintains that none of the 100 people that have come in contact with Duncan and are now being quarantined or monitored, are Filipino.
