“Fire and Fury:” Michael Wolff book reveals what it’s like in Pres. Trump’s White House
Michael Wolff’s book “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” is flying off the shelves as it went on sale today, with some bookstores selling out fast. It had already reached number 1 on Amazon’s best-seller list.
As Trump took to social media, calling it a “phony new book.”
Its author defended his work today, insisting that he, in fact, spoke with President Donald Trump *on the record.* He also called him “a man who has less credibility than, perhaps, anyone who has ever walked on earth.”
In an exclusive interview on NBC’s Today — Wolff said 100 percent of the people around Trump, including his senior advisers and family members, all question his intelligence and fitness for office.
He said they describe him as “like a child” — someone who needs immediate gratification.
“They say he is a moron an idiot. Actually, there is a competition to sort of get to the bottom line here of who this man is. Let’s remember, this man does not read, does not listen,” said Wolff.
Wolff said he absolutely spoke to Trump over the course of the campaign and after the inauguration during his reporting of the book.
Trump has denied this saying he never gave Wolff access to the White House and never spoke to him for the book.
