Filipinos among ICE round-up of fugitive immigrants

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – More than 2,000 immigrants with criminal records are now behind bars, according to the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency’s announcement on Monday of the results of Operation Cross Check.

The agency targeted fugitive immigrants from 94 different countries who were associated with gangs or had criminal backgrounds.

Seven of those who were arrested are from the Philippines.

The country with the most number of arrests is Mexico, with 1,296 arrests.

“More than 2,000 criminal individuals who are here illegally in the United States were apprehended over a four-day period,” Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas said. “It’s a remarkable achievement for the men and women of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, for the men and women of our department, and for the safety of individuals in communities across the country.”

this is what ICE should be doing all along in the first place. the question – 1) is this for real or a show / tell for the moment. the revolving door must be watched closely, these illegal aliens are not merely doing the merry go round in revolving doors, both in the court system / the unsecured borders, 2) was obobo alarmed on the rounding up of illegal aliens, he is protecting for deportations?. the militant advocators of illegal aliens are into regrouping mode, scheming, intimidating, obstructing to halt ICE’s operation arrests / deportations.
