CHICAGO – Ten Chicago area Filipinos are facing criminal charges in the federal government’s largest ever Medicare fraud sweep that estimates $714 million in false billings.

Nearly 250 individuals, including doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals, were ensnared in the Medicare Fraud Strike Force’s nationwide sting led by Attorney General Loretta Lynch and the Department of Health and Human Services.

Nine of the Filipinos charged in the indictment worked at three related home health care companies in Lincolnwood, Ill. — Donnarich Home Health Care Inc., Josdan Home Health Care Inc., and Pathways Home Health Services LLC.

The companies allegedly committed $45million in fraud.
