Filipino teen killed in Winnipeg home break-in, suspect identified

Police have identified the suspect in the random killing of a Filipino teen in Winnipeg, but they have not started an investigation, as the suspect remains in critical condition.

Jaime Adao Jr.’s tragic death shocked the Filipino community.

Adao was home with his grandmother when someone broke into their house on March 3rd.

While Adao was able to call 9-1-1, authorities arrived and found him being attacked with a weapon.

Officers shot at the attacker and both the attacker and Adao were rushed to the hospital.

Adao died of his injuries while the suspect remains in critical condition.

Family and friends remember the life of Jimboy, as he was fondly called, and continue to grasp what happened, dealing with the tragic loss of a kind and respectful young man.
