A Filipina nanny is in trouble, after she was caught on camera allegedly abusing the special needs child she was taking care of.
LVN Thelma Malanastas was caught on camera, apparently shaking and hitting two-year old Landon Ko.
Landon has Rubestein-taybi syndrome, and is blind in one eye, non-verbal, and eats through a feeding tube.
His parents, Dyanna and Landon Ko, were about 20 minutes away when they helplessly watched the incident live on a nanny cam app.
They immediately called police who arrested and booked Malanastas during the incident.
Malanastas, who has been working for the Ko family for one year, has since been fired from her staffing agency Maxim Healthcare Services — which says it conducted an investigation after the incident.
Maxim also says it has informed the California Board of Nursing.
The Ko family is now suing Malanastas and Maxim, as criminal charges are being filed.
She is currently out on bond, and is scheduled to appear in court on July 21st.
