Filipino man killed in Florida crash saved mother’s life
An update in the deadly car crash that happened over the weekend near Jacksonville, Florida that claimed the life of a 22-year-old Filipino man.
Greg Yutuc of Saint John’s, FL was killed in a 3-vehicle crash that occurred on Interstate-295 on the Buckman Bridge.
His mother, Charina Yutuc, told local media that her son Greg saved her life, just seconds before the crash.
Reports say that Greg was sitting in the passenger seat and grabbed the steering wheel at the last second, so the impact could be on his side of their vehicle.
Florida highway patrol says Greg was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle.
The Yutuc family had just returned from a vacation in the Philippines, and were driving from the Jacksonville International Airport, when the crash occurred.
