NEW MEXICO — Tragedy for one Filipino family, after their eldest child passed away on Saturday after drowning at a lake.

According to a fundraising page for the family, the victim, Kingdom Ferdinand Cobol, was at Bottomless Lake in New Mexico on Saturday — about 3 hours south of the state’s capital of Santa Fe — when he passed away from drowning.

His mother Mary An Cobol is a teacher at Highland Junior High in Hobbs, NM, and has just recently brought her husband and three sons over from the Philippines.
