REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – A new nationwide search was launched for bone marrow donors to save the life a Filipino-American man from San Jose.

Ryan Manansala, 29, has Acute Myelogenous Leukemia, also known as AML.

Balitang America featured Manansala in a news report last March after he received a cord blood transfusion.

But his doctors now say that his leukemia has relapsed and he needs a bone marrow donor immediately.

Ryan’s doctors say the donor must be Filipino in order for the bone marrow to match.
