Filipino American government leaders react to Presidential address on immigration

Elected Filipino-American leaders had their own Twitter responses to the President’s address.

Democratic Congressman Bobby Scott of Virginia calls the border wall costly, ineffective, and diplomatically obnoxious.

He accuses the president of using fear-mongering to shift facts.

Newly elected Congressman TJ Cox of California is calling on the president to release the paychecks of federal workers that he said is holding hostage over a wall “nobody wants”.

And in a series of tweets, California Assemblyman of Alameda — Rob Bonta — called out the president’s so-called lies during his presidential campaign that Mexico would pay for the wall.

Bonta reiterated Congressman Scott’s claims that Trump is using fear-mongering to gain support for the border wall.

It is really amazing when you see a newly elected politician like Cox, who’d never done or proven anything yet and all of a sudden come out of the blue and start batting for the big league like aligning himself with protesting federal workers and all of a sudden he is fighting for their cause? Oh well Juju, he’s got to start policing his coins, he’s hungry for stuff like this, just give him a month or two, he’ll settle down. Bonita and Scott are just about the same.

According to Joel Diaz (Real Estate mogul in Manteca California), it is really funny to see Cox, Bonta and Scott start attacking President Trump regarding the Border Wall but they do not say or do anything when some illegal immigrants come here in the United States and kill Americans?
