Filipino activists fear martial law will violate peace talks

LOS ANGELES, CA — This is familiar territory for Tony Dorono, who was an organizer during martial law in the 80’s, receiving death threats as he took to his activism.

Now, Dorono and other Filipinos are back on the streets calling for a stop to martial law after president Rodrigo Duterte declared martial law in Mindanao.
