A deadly hit and run incident in San Jose, California — and now, a 48-year old Pinay is dead.
According to the preliminary police investigation, Marianne “Dred” Gabriel Natividad was crossing east across Niemal Boulevard North of Laddie way, early Thursday morning, when she was struck by a light-color 2000 Toyota 4runner.
The driver, identified as 65-year old San Jose resident Delilah Paray, reportedly stopped, got out of her car and approached Natividad, who was still alive.
But instead of calling for help, Paray reportedly went back to her car and drove away.
Police said other vehicles may have ran over the victim after she was left behind. The coroner’s office said she eventually died from her injuries.
Paray, who was located parked on a nearby street, has since been arrested.
A GoFundMe account dedicated to raise funds to bring Natividad’s remains back to the Philippines — has so far generated more than $10,000.
