Pinays pledge allegiance to Trump

We ran a series of stories on Filipinas joining other women who took to the streets for the second Women’s March targeting President Trump.

We’ve seen it before. Hundreds of thousands of women and their male supporters walk the streets in key cities all over the US, blasting Trump for policies that many said hurt women and urged voters to turn out for congressional elections in November.

But there are women too — Filipinas included — who are publicly pledging their love for the president.

Jamie Laguda Harris, a Bay Area-based Pinay who quit her job to actively campaign for Trump during the 2016 presidential election, posted this on Facebook last weekend when the Women’s March took place.

She reminded people that there are millions of women, immigrants included, that love Trump.

And she sent this message to those protesting the President.

“Women, y’all need to go home and cook your husband dinner! March your ass home, attend to your children, cook your husband dinner and maybe lay out a specific agenda on what is it that you are protesting about!”

While his critics joined the nationwide marches last weekend, Trump took to Twitter to say it was a perfect day for women to celebrate the historic milestones and unprecedented economic boom under his administration.

The group women for Trump with more than 16,000 followers responded to the president’s tweet, saying “best tweet ever! We love you!”
