Fil-Am wheelchair racer wins gold at Parapan Am Games

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – Four-time Paralympic gold medalist Raymond Martin did it again at the 2015 Parapan America Games in Toronto, Canada last Saturday.

The Filipino American wheelchair racer took home three gold medals in the T-52 100, 400, and 1500 meters track and field races.

Martin also set Parapan Am records in the T-52 400 and 1500 meter races.

With a 2015 IPC Marathon world title already won this year, Martin looks forward to defend five world titles at the IPC Athletics World Championship in Doha, Qatar in October.

Martin says he will keep working on his favorite race, the 1500 meters, so he could get better and better.

Team USA got a total of 40 gold medals, placing third overall.

Brazil came in first place with 109 gold medals and Canada with 50 gold medals.
