Fil-Am vies for House district post in Arkansas, as voters head to the polls

Another primary day, and today voters in Texas, Georgia, Kentucky and Arkansas head to the polls.

Democrats are again hoping to get a shot at key house races.

Voters in Georgia, Texas and Arkansas also get to choose their party candidates for governor. Currently, all three governors are Republican. But Democrats are hoping for an upset.

The governor race in Georgia is getting the most attention. If Stacey Abrams win the Democratic primary today and she wins in November, she would become the country’s first African American female governor.

Meanwhile, winners of the congressional contests in Arkansas, Kentucky and Texas, could reveal each party’s chances come November.

Filipino American Joshua Price, a emocratD, is running against Monica Bell in Arkansas House District 39.

They are trying to unseat republican three term incumbent, Congressman Mark Lowery.

If Price wins and beats lowery in the midterm elections, he would be the first Asian American elected to the Arkansas general assembly.
