CALIFORNIA – Authorities have stopped searches for 18-year-old Filipino American Paul Alimoren’s body in the waters of Ocean Shores in Washington.
The Southern California resident was on an outing with his church group.
While he was swimming with seven other people, a rip current had swept two of his friends out to sea on Saturday night. Alimoren managed to help the two friends to shore before he was swept away.
Authorities declared him dead on Sunday, but are yet to recover his body.
Alimoren’s brother told Balitang America that the siblings were born and raised in Southern California, while their mother is from Cebu and their father is from Cagayan de Oro.
