Jacob Daniel Murphy is one of the latest Filipino-American talents to grace “The Voice” stage.
Murphy grew up in a diverse family and community with a Filipino mom and Mexican-Irish dad in Elk Grove, Northern California.
He now resides in North Hollywood.
“My singing journey began when I was very very young. So my mother would play music around the house all the time, and it was just kind of always there, it was never like a conscious thing.”
The 27-year-old singer, who sang Aretha Franklin’s “Until You Come Back To Me” during his blind auditions, is in team Blake Shelton.
