Fil-Am shooting victim’s brother speaks up against gun violence at UNC rally

Students are continuing to lead the charge to call for stricter gun laws, in the wake of the school shooting in Parkland, Florida where 17 people lost their lives — including a Filipino-American senior.

Fil-Am Carmen Schentrup was only 16 when she was killed.

Her older brother, Robert, was among the speakers at the rally for our lives at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill on March 29.

Not only is Robert calling for stricter gun control measures. He also encourages students to register to vote, with the goal of electing more officials who support gun control in the midterm elections.
