Fil-Am Paralympian Raymond Martin nabs more gold medals in Qatar

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – Fil-Am wheelchair racer Raymond Martin’s gold rush continues at the 2015 IPC Athletics World Championship in Doha, Qatar.

The 21-year-old Fil-Am took home his third world title in 2015 in the men’s T52 100-meter race on Tuesday.

Team USA is now in third place overall, behind China and Germany, with 25 medals — two of which are Martin’s.

The Filipino para-athlete also won gold in the men’s 1,500 T52 race on Monday.

He now has hauled in 12 international gold medals in his career, and says this win makes him more confident going into the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
