Fil-Am nurse aide and boyfriend plead guilty to misdemeanor charge for taunting patient on video

An update on the certified nursing assistants who were arrested for posting a video on Snapchat, taunting a 91-year-old patient.

Both Brayan Cortez and Fil-Am Jamie Montesa have pleaded guilty on misdemeanor charges in regards to a Snapchat video posted by Montesa, showing Cortez taunting a patient with patient gowns.

Cortez pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct, receiving a sentence of 18 months supervision with 100 hours of community service — while Montesa pleaded guilty to attempted unauthorized recording, sentenced to one-year supervision with 50 hours of community service.

Along with the sentence, both were fired from the nursing home and ordered to stay away from the patient, Margaret Collins, who has since been transferred to another facility.
