Fil-Am lawyer faces two counts of attempted murder

A Filipino American lawyer accused of shooting an elderly couple is now back in Los Angeles, and is due in court Tuesday.

According to court records, Paul Mendoza Allen faces two counts of attempted murder and is being held on a $10 million bail, while his wife Pauline Marie Catibayan is being held on a $5 million bail for being an accessory after the fact.

Authorities say Allen shot his former clients, an elderly couple, multiple times before fleeing the scene.

The couple who are in their 1970s and 80s have not been identified. Reports say, however, that they remain in the hospital in stable condition.

After the alleged attempted murders, Allen left Southern California and was found a day later in Idaho with Catibayan.

They were brought back to Los Angeles on Friday afternoon, and they are scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday morning.
