LOS GATOS, CA — A Filipino American husband and father needs help. And he needs it now.
Due to a certain type of cancer — he needs a fellow Filipino to donate some stem cells in order for him to live.
For the past two years — Rowell Sotto, a Silicon Valley software engineer, has been battling chronic myeloid leukemia — or CML.
Sotto treats his CML with targeted therapy — where drugs are used to target the cancer’s specific genes, proteins, or tissue environment.
However, his best way to beat the disease is through a stem cell transplant.
If you are interested in becoming a donor, text “Rowell” to 6-1-4-7-4.
