Fil-Am Philadelphia Eagle gets Super Bowl championship, before playing his first snap
A Filipino American rookie running back did not get to touch the ball this past season, but he did get to carry the Super Bowl‘s Lombardi trophy with his team.
On the Philadelphia Eagles roster is first-year running back Donnel Pumphrey.
Pumphrey’s mother is a Filipina. He grew up in Las Vegas and had a stellar college career at San Diego State University.
He was drafted by the Eagles this past season.
Unfortunately he tore a hamstring during the pre-season, and was placed on the injured reserve.
Pumphrey is looking forward to putting up some numbers for the Eagles as part of his three-year contract.
And despite not being able to play in any games this year, Pumphrey will still receive his Super Bowl ring.
