Fil-Am doctor provides relief for Nepal earthquake victims

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – Filipino-American doctors are among those who are helping the quake-stricken people of Nepal.

Earlier, Balitang America spoke with Dr. Herminigildo Valle, Chief of Staff at Seton Medical Center in Daly City, via Skype from Kathmandu about this latest tremor.

He said he was supposed to go back to the devastated area of Sindhupalchok which is known for its treacherous terrain, but was lucky not to have made the trip when this latest quake struck.

    Dr. Valle is well known among his colleuges for his work in the middle of devastating disasters. He goes to the Philippines regularly every year to render medical care in addition to whenever there is a natural disaster. He is a perfect example of someone who has achieved the American dream and has given back to humanity.
