Fil-Am doctor among the life-saving heroes after Las Vegas massacre

LAS VEGAS — A Fil-Am emergency room doctor is being hailed for his heroism treating and accommodating hundreds of patients during the worst mass shooting in modern U.S history at a country music festival on Oct 1, which killed 58 lives and left 500 wounded.

Meet Fil-Am Dr. Kevin Menes, lauded for his creative, organized emergency room skills and quick-thinking during the night of the deadly Las Vegas shooting, where hundreds of the wounded and dying were brought into his hospital.

Menes, along with another Filipino Dr. Patrick Flores, was honored by the Consulate General of Los Angeles, and is being hailed as a local hero.
