Fil-Am clothing company to dress Bradley on fight night

LAS VEGAS – From a marketing standpoint–from head to toe–boxers are walking billboards and fight night is the night to show it all off.

Sponsors and endorsers suited up their fighters and the fighters camp. Manny Pacquiao, who had a decade long endorsement deal with Nike, was dropped by the sportswear company over his alleged comments on same-sex marriage.

While he’s mostly been wearing an older Nike boot in the ring, he’ll also rock other brands during his runs. Neither he nor any apparel company have announced what he will wear come fight night.

According to Pacquiao’s business manager, there will be plenty of sponsors supporting the Pacman during this fight.

“It’s all still there,” said Arnold Vegafria, Pacman’s business manager. “All the endorsements retained and nobody left and added more.”

Vegafria added that there are sponsors from different Asian countries such as Indonesia and China, as well as a new sports apparel joining them on April 9th.

In the meantime, Timothy Bradley has a team of popular Filipino-American clothing designers in his corner.

Crooks & Castles, a Los Angeles based and Pinoy-founded brand popular in hip hop culture has worked with some of the world’s biggest musicians and several boxers over the years including the Pacman.

With a mutual respect between them and Desert Storm, they have come out with his own line of apparel.

“This time around its going to be something beautiful,” said Gee Dela Cruz, Crooks & Castles marketing manager. “It’s going to be a great fight, I can’t wait.”

Dele Cruz said Bradley has been wearing the brand prior to promotions of the fight. His people reached out to the clothing company and the two decided to work together.

“Respect still to Manny Pacquiao’s camp,” added Dela Cruz. “Were still big Pac fans over here on the Crooks team.”

Last year the clothing company dressed members of the Pacman’s entourage during the Floyd Mayweather fight. They collaborated with Bradley a few months later, when the he knocked out Brandon Rios.

While both fighters will dress to impress on fight night, Pacquiao and Bradley’s attire want to make the biggest statement, a convincing victory over one another.
