Fil-Am celebs, personalities speak out against racism and police brutality

Fil-Am personalities and celebrities are among those using their own popular platforms to speak out against racism and police brutality in the wake of George Floyd’s killing.

Dave Bautista, who has always been vocal on social media in condemning injustice and what he sees as a lack of leadership from President Donald Trump — encouraged his fans to use their voices.

“This shouldn’t be happening and nobody should be okay with this, and if you don’t see this as a racial issue, see this as a human issue, every human being should have an issue with this. This man was murdered by someone we trust, we put our faith in. He was murdered and was powerless. So this is what you gonna do: speak up.”

Meanwhile, Grammy-award winning Fil-Am artist H.E.R. tweeted a long list of black victims whose deaths were tainted with police brutality allegations.

The killing of Floyd, an unarmed black man, while in police custody has intensified protests around the country.

The music industry is following suit in support of their black talents.

Fil-Am rapper Guapdad 4000 joined one demonstration in Long Beach, California over the weekend.

Fil-Am NBA star Jordan Clarkson also joined thousands in Los Angeles over the weekend in an emotional, yet peaceful protest.

Most of the time Filipinos or FilAms alike, including myself, like to chime in on anything they do not know anything about… In most cases, they listen to fake news, including Balitang America, says Rob Namba, gentleman from Utah. As much as he could, Dave Bautista (Batista), would throw his 10 cents on semi-controversial issues to gain some popularity. He is a big guy but he is like a scared rooster, as evident when Pacquiao made some remarks on gay people (Quismorio 2016).

According to James Hunt (TSA Security Expert), Trump is actually showing great leadership in dealing with the crazy protesters (looters). Every politicians chiming in are playing the political correctness scary cat approach which is really the driving force of the thugs and looters.
