Fil-Am candidates wins and losses in California primaries
In Northern California, Fil-Am candidates shared wins and losses in Tuesday’s primaries.
In an uncontested race, Republican Cristina Osmeña advances to the general election to face incumbent democrat Jackie Speier for the congressional seat for district 14, which represents San Mateo.
Fellow Fil-Am Republican Christina Laskowski will also advance to November — as she faces incumbent Democrat Kevin Mullin for the State Assembly District 22, which represents south San Francisco.
In an uncontested race, Fil-Am Rob Bonta will also meet his Republican opponent in November as he defends his seat as the representative for State Assembly District 18, which represents Alameda.
Meanwhile, Reno Ursal lost his bid for San Joaquin County Assessor-Recorder.
