Los Angeles — Boxers Errol Spence and Shawn Porter both took part in a grand arrival ceremony at LA Live Tuesday night, days before their scheduled pay-per-view fight this weekend.
Both boxers showed their skills in front of the media at the Staples Center — where their match-up will be held.
The road to a lucrative Manny Pacquiao fight goes through one of LA’s most entertaining districts this Saturday.
For both Spence and Porter, they’re fighting for more than a pair of welterweight titles, they want to secure their spot as the Pacman’s next challenger, despite reports surfacing that Pacquiao prefers to fight either Mikey Garcia or Danny Garcia.
This former Pacquiao sparmate, Robert Guerrero, is also hoping to be Pacquiao’s next opponent.
While the boxing world waits for the welterweight picture to settle, Pacquiao’s most recent opponent Keith Thurman announced that he had undergone surgery for a nagging injury in his left hand which he said had bothered him in his most recent fights.
