Ellen DeGeneres praises Fil-Am students behind viral McDonald’s poster prank
Two Filipino American students behind a viral prank video got their moment to shine on a popular Hollywood talk show.
College students Jevh Maravilla and Christian Toledo were invited to the Ellen Show, after their viral stunt which involved them hanging a poster of themselves at a local McDonald’s in Houston, Texas.
Host Ellen DeGeneres told them that McDonald’s will be using them for a marketing campaign, and both were given $25,000 each.
The two friends told Ellen the story of how they wanted to add diversity to the posters at the McDonald’s, and the process of then pulling the prank.
“We decided to represent ourselves as Asians, to be up there as well.”
