Drunk PAL passenger faces 20 years in jail for in-flight fight

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – A drunken incident on a Philippine airlines flight could land a man in jail for 20 years on federal charges.

Edgar Nonga, 53, has been charged with federal offenses after allegedly punching a Philippine Airlines flight attendant during the flight.

The PAL flight was traveling from Manila to Los Angeles.

Nonga allegedly became angry and violent after crew members refused to serve him more drinks.

He allegedly punched a flight attendant in the face. With the help of the crew and other passengers, he was restrained and then arrested.

He appeared in a Los Angeles court on Monday where he was granted a $10,000 bail.

    One thing to calm down a misbehaving drunken Filipino passenger is to hand him a Karaoke mic and let him host a game show.
