Deaf Filipina pleads with Canadian gov’t for immigration approval

VANCOUVER, Canada – The Deaf daughter of a Filipina caregiver is making an impassioned plea to Canada’s immigration minister to allow her to migrate to the country. Jazmine Talosig has been separated from her mother for years because of her disability. Now, she’s trying to convince authorities that she won’t be a burden on Canada.
