REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – The Filipino-American community commended a California-based company for removing a scene in its customer service training video that negatively portrayed Filipino healthcare workers.

CRM Learning of Carlsbad, Calif. has announced that it would withdraw the training video from the market.

The video, entitled “It’s a Dog’s World”, showed two Filipina healthcare employees gossiping in Tagalog in front of an American patient.

This move from the company comes after the Philippine Embassy, the Philippines Nurses Association, and the Migrant Heritage Commission told the company the scene unfairly singled out and depicted Filipinos as insensitive and disrespectful employees.
