COMMUNITY LEADERS REACT TO RACIST GRAFFITI AGAINST FILIPINOS

UNION CITY, Calif. – Authorities in Union City are looking into an alleged hate crime, after racist graffiti appeared on three buildings over the weekend, outside of the Filipino Community Center, Toppings Too, a Filipino restaurant, and the office of the non-profit organization, Filipino Advocates for Justice.

Chris Cara, youth coordinator for Filipino Advocates for Justice said, “I was taken aback when I saw it. But I wasn’t surprised.”

Cara cited that the words “Mex” or “Mexico” in the graffiti could mean that some members of the Latino community in the area are unhappy with the current tensions in the community. The word “AMS”, Cara said, could mean “Alvarado Middle School”.

Alvarado Middle School was originally named after Juan Bautista Alvarado, the Mexican governor of California in the 1800s.

But this month, the New Haven District school board approved to change the school’s name to “Itliong/Vera Cruz Middle School”, in honor of Filipino-American labor leaders, Larry Itliong and Phillip Vera Cruz.

Former school board member and now city council member Pat Gacoscos said she could understand how the school name change would cause resentment from other communities. She said they plan to reach out to the community and educate them about Itliong and Vera Cruz, and how they were heroes, not just to the Filipinos, but all communities as well.

So far, Union City police said they have no leads on the perpetrator of this hate crime.

This is only the beginning , California used to be Mexican Vs African American . And now it will be a chain gangs of Mexican against another ethnic groups , wether it be Filipino , Chinese , Veitnamese, Thailanders or any Asians groups.

California will be the war zone for Mexicans , they want to own California and any ethnic groups will be thier sworn enemy . Once they gain that territory , moving along towards Nevada , Arizona and as far state as they can get away with. Latinos are coming in droves , asians are outnumbered even if it combines together . If this Administration sleep and not recognizing the problem, Hell will brake loss at any time.

California is once owned by Mexico, check your American History books as you claimed your patriotism. There are numerous Filipino and other Asian gangs already in California. Delia Delia, where have you’ve been all these years? You are so 5 hrs. behind from all realities. Or you just simply does not want to accept and adapt to the New America???
