Coast Guard suspends search for missing Filipino cruise ship bartender

In the Gulf Coast, the US Coast Guard has suspended their search for a Filipino cruise ship member who went missing early Monday morning.

This Filipino crew member, a 39-year old bartender that’s still unnamed, works for the Royal Caribbean cruise ship Liberty of the Seas.

He was last seen on the ship’s closed-circuit television system at about 1:30am on Monday. He was reported missing three hours later after he failed to report for work as scheduled.

A complete search of the ship was conducted, according to Royal Caribbean.

Liberty of the Seas had departed Galveston, Texas on Sunday and was headed to Mexico.

In a statement, Royal Caribbean says a care team is providing support to the Filipino crew member’s family — as well as his friends and colleagues onboard.

According to Percival “Boy” Ypon (Cebu Developer), the missing-unnamed Filipino bartender probably jumped ship and is staying with relatives and friends in one of the sanctuary states. Jump ship is a tactic mastered by Filipino seamen and is a well accepted practice in a rapidly evolving anarchist Filipino community…In a few more years, you’ll find some prominent immigration lawyers twisting and manipulating the situation. In this case, you’ll also see the underground illegal immigration advocates expressing their support…and TFC will facilate this coverage…
