Clinton thinks Pacquiao can lead Philippines

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Eight has become a lucky number for Manny Pacquiao.

Eight world titles in eight weight divisions. On Wednesday night, the Pacman reached another eight — his eighth guesting on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

The two talked politics, boxing, and Jinkee’s pregnancy.

Prior to Pacquiao hitting the stage, Kimmel’s other guest, former US President Bill Clinton had praises for the fighting congressman and his political career.

“He’s already in the Philippine Parliament, and I hope he goes right up on the ladder, and I think he’s a great guy and he’s a great role model for the country and he’s very strong and honest and so he’s thinking about the rest of his life,” said Clinton.

But Pacquiao played down the thoughts of him running the Philippines for now.

“President Clinton says he hopes you eventually will lead the Philippines, that you one day will run the country. Is that something that’s in your brain?” asked Kimmel.

“Right now I’m focused on my position as a congressman,” Pacquiao replied.

Though they didn’t appear on stage together, Pacquiao and Clinton met backstage.

Before his long anticipated return to late night TV, the Pacman had a warm up bout with the international media, hosting a media workout at the Wild Card Gym.

Pacquiao and his team spent the day convincing the press that his killer instinct is back and that he’ll be ready for his April 12th showdown against Timothy Bradley during his media day.

“Papakita ko kaya pa natin mag-stay sa boxing,” said Pacquiao.

“We’re not going to go in there looking for a knockout because we don’t do that. We go out there win one round at a time and win ‘em all. If a knock out comes it comes,” said his coach Freddie Roach.

While the Pacman says, he’s ready to fight he will be missing one special person ringside.

His wife, Jinkee, who’s due to give birth to their fifth child this month, will not be able to make it to his fight.

Thank you for praying for me and the kids also… I love you,'” was his message to his wife.

Despite Jinkee unable to make the trip, one family member has been at the gym everyday during training camp. He stole the show on media day, Pacquiao’s Jack Russell terrier, Pacman.

How can he be our next president and he cheated our BIR and the IRS. He owed the BIR of 2.1 Billions of pesos and what paid is only the VAT. What about the IRS? How can you expect him to lead our country and he can’t even control his brother and sister engaging in illegal gamblings in GENSAN and SARANGANI were his wife is the Vice Governor. He doesn’t think and Draft Bills in the congress and he has a Battalion of staffs doing this things for him using his PDAF for his staff. He’s always absent in the congress and he’s number job is boxing while congress is he’s sideline. You go and ask people of GENSAN and the will tell what kind of a family are the Pacquios. He’s not fit to be the next president. Better for him to settle all his Tax Liabilities before he will be sent to jail.
