CARSON, CA — Pinoy pride is flying high in the city of Carson, as the month-long Filipino American History Month celebrations are underway.
Filipino American History Month is full swing in the city of Carson.
Fe Delos Reyes, Miguel Vera, and many local talents kicked off the month with a special ceremony that got the crowd going.
It’s known as one of the few cities that celebrates the entire month, with the backing of the local government, and the involvement of many proud community members.
“I’m just so happy there are so many volunteers here that work with me and the committee in the city of Carson because they are so dedicated, and particularly I’m so thankful to my colleagues in the city council,” said Elito Santarina.
The kick-off celebration honored Filipino community leaders who have made an impact in their respective fields from activism, to education, and public safety.
