Chinese warship fired warning shot on Pinoy boat: report

By Reuters

MANILA – The Philippines on Friday expressed concern over reports a Chinese warship has fired a warning shot on a Filipino fishing boat near a reclaimed reef in the disputed West Philippine Sea (South China Sea), Manila’s defense minister said.

China has been rapidly expanding its occupied reefs in the Spratly archipelago, alarming other claimants, and drawing sharp criticism from the United States, Japan and European States.

“If indeed this happened, it is a cause of grave concern.” Defense Minister Voltaire Gazmin told journalists in a text message from Tokyo, where he joined a four-day state visit by Philippine President Benigno Aquino III.

China claims most of the South China Sea, through which $5 million in ship-borne trade passes every year. The Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia, Taiwan and Vietnam also have overlapping claims.

All but Brunei have fortified bases in the Spratlys, which are roughly 1,300 km (800 miles) from the Chinese mainland but much closer to the Southeast Asian claimants.

In Tokyo, Aquino said his nation was ready to start talks with Japan on allowing Japanese military aircraft and naval vessels to use Philippine bases to refuel and resupply, extending Tokyo’s range of operations into the South China Sea.

On Wednesday, Aquino made a veiled comparison between China’s activities in the South China Sea and Nazi Germany’s expansionism before World War Two.

Chinese have territorial disputes with pretty much all their neighbors, which a war with the US would give them an opportunity to settle once and for all. These disputes center over fisheries, territory and energy resources .

China has taken advantage of the weakness of US leadership. While US is sleeping, China has been rapidly expanding its territory over the South China Sea, taking over all the Spratly islands.

China has already built military bases and infrastructures ready to fight whoever will oppose its aggressions. And perhaps has future plans of taking over the whole countries in the Pacific. China is building their naval forces and what does our idiot in chief do? He cuts our once great Military to the bone , what a disgrace.

Our carriers wouldn’t last 2 minutes in the China Sea now with the technology the Clintons given them. If we do make a stand, let’s start calling the South China Sea the Obama Straits or Lake Harriet Tubman. When you have a weasel for president, what more can you expect?

Clinton was friendly and lenient to the Chinese in so by giving them the codes to our stealth bomber , so the Chinese could shoot them down. Lately , it was discovered that the codes where sold by President Clinton through one of his foundation and he collected 19 million dollars for those Codes.

Philippine should never back off and continue in strengthening our forces in Spratly. Armed them with missile and amphibious tanks.

it will take more than words of all freedom loving nations, other than the USA to tit for tat, the wannabe warmonger china. the occupation actions of china is unstoppable with mere criticisms, given the reality they have the power, telling the world they will use the power in their hands, if push come to shove. history of mankind of killings aka war, just to get what it needs were provoked by the egomaniac aggressors, that backing out is not an option, if it meant bruising their egos.

Maybe the world wouldn’t have much to worry about China’s aggression if USA corporations hadn’t Fed the Chinese Frankenstein billions upon billions of Trade Dollars over the last 4 decades. It is the fact that the USA made China what it is today.

True America is to blame for this tension in the South China Sea for making them strong in hoping they will open up politically and commercially in the hope of removing the Communist Party.True the country open up commercially but the Communist party are more entrenched and become more efficient.America thought that it will go the Russia way but it didn’t.Russia broke because it can not match spending dollar to dollar in defense and it got a Gorbachov to boot who hammered the last nail on the the Russian Union coffin.I think we can kiss the islands goodbye for even Obama says in the television the Chinese have valid claims.America will fight with us on the mainland of Luzon not in far away places. As soon as Hillary took over the Presidency the Chinese will just donate their pledge to The Clinton foundation to honor freedom of passageway in these region in exchange for the islands.Nobody got hurt but the Philippines is holding a empty bag in the end.If Kennedy could blockade Cuba with warships and almost nuclear war broke out why can they not do that to the Chinese where their military hardware not in equal in par with the might of the Russian Empire till this problem is resolve by UN who is dragging their feet. That is what America got for electing patsy and left wing politicians. Can not figure why some filipinos vote for them?

China knew that Obama is a weak leader and cares about Global warning as #1 enemy of the US. They had already reclaimed 7 islands & war strategist called it the “unsinkable aircraft carriers”. China owns 2 AC carrier and building 3 more. US has 10 AC carriers deployed all over the world. OBAMA and the Democrats bankrupt US, the economy survive on printing money. Obama’s term will end for 500 days, therefore China will have all the military bases armed and ready within 500 days.If Hillary wins more island grabbing including Palawan will be taken over by the Chinese. If a Republican President wins, PH, Malaysia, Vietnam Indonesia,Japan and US troops will go to war against China.

Before 1988, China’s presence in the South China Sea was almost zero. In 2013, they literally dominate it. “They are taking control of maritime areas that have never before been administered or controlled in the last 5,000 years by any regime called China.

Now ,we are beginning to hear the rumbling of war from Chinese. Chinese need not to be worried about the US. All they need to do is wait 500 more days and Obama will have pulled the guts out of America’s might. This country has had it’s run and is going down with a wisp of flames. Thank you liberals who voted Obama into office.
