CES 2019 focuses on automotive industry and digital health

The automotive industry has a chance to bounce back from last year’s dismal sales at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, where car companies can demonstrate what’s new and revolutionary.

A big focus at this year’s CES is autonomous driving and shared mobility.

Catching attention this year is bell’s nexus, a concept design for a hybrid electric air taxi that comfortably seats four passengers and a pilot.

This 6,000-pound flying vehicle comes equipped with a 150-mile range, a top speed of 150 miles per hour, and is able to take off and land vertically from a rooftop or launchpad.

Even more exciting — people may be able to ride one using uber’s new aerial service in the not-too-distant future.

Other highlights in CES’ day 1 include the world’s first hearing aid with artificial intelligence capabilities, which tracks train and body health, monitors heart rate, offers in-ear language translation, as well as fall detection and fall alerts.

CES 2019 is expected to present the latest innovation on patient care, as well as the latest cutting edge trends in digital health by highlighting unique solutions on display.

CES, which started on Tuesday, ends on January 11.
