Case of missing Filipino man in West Covina now classified a homicide

The case of a missing Filipino fireman is now being looked at as a murder case.

West Covina police said they have arrested two men on suspicion of murder in connection with the disappearance of John Brian Mananghaya Aguila.

Aguila has been missing since last Friday, and police raided a home in La Verne on Tuesday.

They said evidence found during the investigation has linked Aguila’s disappearance to a burnt body discovered in Upland. However, investigators are still trying to identify the body.
