REDWOOD CITY, Calif – Nearly two million home healthcare workers will be eligible for overtime pay under the Obama administration approved a new federal rule. Home health aids, personal care aides, and certified nursing assistants who work for the elderly and disabled will now be eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over 40 hours. The new rules take effect in January of 2015. Critics say this new rule will raise home care costs.
